Solo was recently contracted to be part of a project that required extrusion welding on 250 diameter SDR17 PE pipe. 

This project was for MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology at Western Springs, Auckland) for their new carpark and cycleway.

In an effort to future-proof MOTAT and the wider Western Springs precinct, they are constructing a new 155 space car park at the M2 – Meola Road site. The car park will improve parking and accessibility at Western Springs and will facilitate the installation of cycleways and walkways.

MOTAT hope to provide a better visitor experience in the future and the car park is part of their larger plan to redesign the MOTAT experience, starting with re-developing the way the public interact with their collection objects.
